Oliver

One of the attractions of The Right Breed is obviously that all who join are animal lovers. I know everyone has a different interest,animal, pet or breed, but I must say that my sweet Persian Oliver has made a huge difference in my children's lives and thus, my life. My children always wanted a pet but their father would never allow it. After our divorce, I didn't want the responsibility. Oliver was pretty much thrust upon us by an ex- boyfriend of mine who bought him then decided he didn't want him. My kids begged to keep him and I gave in.In the almost two years we have had him, he has been a companion for us all, follows us around, senses when we are down and actually comes to try and cheer us up and gives and demands affection. I know this is bizarre behavior for a cat but the truth is that in addition to his 9 lives, he also has a sixth sense. I know the taking care of him is part is the trade off- My son feeds him, my daughter grooms him and I got stuck with litter box duty-- but I never imagined he would have the impact that he has on our lives and I am grateful for it.
